Traditional, arranged Sille Ilves.
Words & tune both are from at the end of 18.-th or beginning 19.-th century.
Original Welsh words in Tri Thrawiad metre by John Howell, Carmarthenshire.
Tune copied down in Anglesey by John Owen Dwyran called by him "hen fesur gan Robin Hughes y Rhengc" (old measure by [RH, a cobbler] from Rhengc).These words originally set to this tune by T. Gwynn Jones in the 20.-th century.

A gwyrddion yw'r gerddi cmae'r llwyni mor llon
A heirdd yw'r eginau a'r dail ar y dolau

Cydganodd yr adar yn gerddgar i gyd
